Throughout their carreer a host of fictional characters have been created by The Accused to vicariously live through as they roam and scurry around in a fictiocious midnight air's hauting chill. Their trademark and crowd favorite is named Martha Splatterhead--a wild haired, big-fanged, undead female zombie vigillante, comic-book inspired heroine who's image was created and is drawn by Niemeyer--and who appears on almost ALL of The Accused album covers and merchandise. She's a powerful female figure on a mission to eliminate sexual predators from the world, most often by utilizing a slightly grizzly and vicious method; a kind of wholesale scumbag removal service. It's a street cleaning routine some of the more squeamish folks would probably not enjoy witnessing. This wild imaged fantasy of super-hero styled justice is of course only being played out via The Accused's music and words and in the mind of the listener, but it's a sobering message to an often unsuspecting music fan. As they've done for over two decades now, The Accused stand by every word they scream.
